Garland W. Mahan Jr., a Founding Member and Client Advisor at MAHAN Healthcare Business Advisors, embarked on a journey of transformation when he established Mahan & Associates, LLC in 1990. A Murray State University graduate with a double major in accounting/tax and marketing, Garland has dedicated over forty-two years exclusively to serving the unique tax and financial needs of healthcare professionals.

Before founding Mahan & Associates, LLC, Garland honed his skills at a regional CPA firm of over 100 employees, where he served as the manager of the healthcare services department. He has played an influential role in numerous board of directors positions, including his current role as a member of the Better Business Bureau for Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky, where he serves on the executive committee and is Chairman of the Students of Integrity committee.

Garland’s unwavering care for each client’s outcome shines through in his work and long-standing relationships. His client-centric approach ensures that each healthcare professional he serves receives the support and guidance needed to achieve their financial goals. Garland is a key player on his team by actively guiding, training, and motivating team members to not only understand how to best serve clients but also to genuinely care about their clients and themselves.
